What is a collection?
A collection is a group of artwork created using a similar concept or created during a similar time period in Shana’s life.
What is the difference between an original and a print?
An original artwork is completely unique. There is only one copy of each original so that is why the price is higher than a print of an original. All of Shana's originals were done on stretched canvas or drawing paper and some of her pieces include mixed media elements such as Swarovski crystals, fine art glitter and varying textiles. A print however, is a photograph of an original artwork that may have been altered and enhanced by Shana using Photoshop. Each print sold on this website is printed on high quality metallic photo paper which gives each print a unique look. One main difference is that prints can come in varying sizes while the original can only come in the size in which it was created in. Things like glitter, 3D textiles and reflectiveness, will not be as pronounced in a printed image and often times color tone on a print may vary from the original. Due to the nature of art, we can only sell one of each original piece. Luckily, we can sell an unlimited amount of prints for each image so if your favorite original has been purchased, you still have the option of buying a print at a cheaper price.
What does it say on the back of the greeting cards?
The back of the greeting cards are left blank for you to write on. After someone receives your greeting card gift, instead of throwing it away, they can buy a frame and have it on their wall forever.
Where is your office located?
Shana and her husband Derric run Artworks by Shana out of their home in San Diego, California.
Do you have a gallery location I can visit?
